Instead of finding the best move, EloGuess asks a different question: can you judge the player behind the moves?

You review move sequences, time management and player decisions, then guess the rating behind the game. Good guesses come from noticing the small clues: opening confidence, tactical awareness, time usage, calculation quality, conversion technique, defensive choices, endgame precision...

How the game works

Each run gives you real chess games with enough context to make an informed guess. You can use the move history, clock situation and decisions made during the game to estimate the player’s level.

EloGuess includes several ways to test yourself:

• Classic Mode rewards strong range-based rating guesses.
• Exact Mode challenges you to get as close as possible to the true Elo.
• Streak Mode gives you limited lives and tests consistency.
• Daily Challenge gives everyone the same five games each day.
• EloGuess Duel lets two players compete on the same games.

You can also track your statistics, unlock achievements, choose leaderboard avatars and compare scores on the leaderboards.

No account required

You can play EloGuess without creating an account or connecting a chess profile. Your local settings, statistics, achievements, and progress are stored in your browser, while leaderboard entries use the display name and avatar you choose.

That keeps the game quick to start, easy to replay and fully focused on the chess.
